Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

6-8pork chops
to tastesalt and pepper
1large cansauerkrautClick Me!
2largeonions, coarsely chopped
1headcabbage, coarsely shredded
1-1/2tablespoonsgarlic powder
1-1/2cupswater (approximate)

Fry pork chops w/salt and pepper until browned. Remove chops. Add water and 1 tablespoon of garlic powder to frying pan. Put sauerkraut and 1 onion on the bottom of a roaster pan. Layer pork chops; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Add cabbage and 1 onion; sprinkle with salt, if desired. Pour water in skillet over the top. Cover and cook until cabbage is tender (approximately 1-1/2 hours) in a 325 degree oven.
