In a heavy skillet, combine margarine, sugar, eggs, and dates; mix well. Cook over low flame 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in pecans and vanilla, then rice cereal. Drop by teaspoonfuls into coconut. Roll in coconut to cover. Cool, then chill if desired. |
